FTX debt to creditors exceeds $3.1 billion
According to the bankruptcy filing of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX, the amount of debt obligations on the platform of the 50 largest creditors is $3,1 billion.
The document does not indicate the names and positions of the creditors of the crypto exchange, but it is known that the amount of the largest debt is 225 million dollars. The statement also says that the amount owed to the top 10 creditors is $1,45 billion.
— The list of top 50 creditors is based on currently available debt information. Clarification and investigation of FTX's debt obligations continues as there may be payments already made that are not reflected in the books of creditors, the bankruptcy filing says.
Earlier it was reported that the total number of creditors on the site, including retail investors, could exceed 1 million people.
At the same time, former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried considers filing for bankruptcy his "biggest mistake." According to him, he followed the advice of lawyers, but if he had not done this, he probably could have saved the company.
